Vocal Training:
This session will focus on vocal techniques that will improve an aspiring singers breathe control, tone, pitch and overall ability. Meeting each individual where they are vocally. The hope is that the young person becomes a more confident and skilled vocalist and performer.
Piano/Keyboarding : (Will be offered February 2022)
This session is for beginners. It will focus on the basics; learning to read notes, read rhythms, play scales, play basic chords and other tools essential to playing any style of music. ... Students are able to choose the genre of music based on what they enjoy, which will keep the lessons exciting and motivating.
Videography/Photography: ( Will be offered February 2022)
Introduction to videography and photography. The sessions will include collecting photographs and videos of scenic areas in the New Haven area. Editing and publishing them.
Music Production:
Learn basic music production using Ableton and Logic Pro X software. With a focus in sampling, music sequencing and drum programming. Laying the foundation for creating their own original track.
The cost for each session will be $25. You can make a payment by check, money order or via cash app.
There are only 40 available openings due to Covid-19. Each session will consist of two to three young people sharing a space maximum. We want to ensure the safety of everyone attending the program.
There will be free monthly workshops beginning in March of 2022.
